Webinar: Defining Community Resilience - Exploring ideas and practice
Thursday 9th June, 11am – 1pm.
Join us to explore the role community organisations play in supporting community resilience across Scotland.
This webinar will be a chance to come together and share your experiences of community resilience and help shape our definition as part of our Rebooting Resilience project.
We’ll explore how a community group from Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, responded to the pandemic and the impact it had establishing a community larder. We’ll hear how the group supported local community resilience by creating a dignified and non-stigmatising way for people to access food, advice, and signposting.
We’ll also examine community resilience through the impact of weather, floods, terrorism, disasters, and other emergencies - and how communities and Civil Contingency Act responders can work together to create strong resilient communities.
This webinar will be free, and held on Zoom. We’ll send you joining instructions nearer the time of the event.
