This working agreement template should help you to set up a solid process in which all the people who should be involved are able to take part and be heard.

It can be used in different ways, such as:

  • If you are making a participation request, you could say in your participation request form or in your email to the public body that you would like to use this template with them before entering into any process.

  • If the public body has agreed to your participation request and described how you will be involved in improving things, you could use the template to check all the important elements of a good process are in place. If they aren’t, you should let the public body know.

  • If you are a public body, you could use the template (or a similar one) to work with community groups who have made participation requests in order to set up a good process.
