CHEX conference: Human rights and community-led health
/Join the CHEX team to explore how community-led health organisations can use human rights in their work improving health, addressing inequalities and making a difference to communities across Scotland.
Our FREE conference is a chance to meet and share experience with other community-led health organisations, and discuss what taking a human rights approach means in practice to local organisations.
With human rights taking an increasingly important role in our society, we'll also look ahead at the future of human rights in Scotland. This is in light of the recently published recommendations from the First Minister's Advisory Group on Human Rights.
"In our work with people across Scotland, the Commission regularly hears evidence that poverty and barriers to accessing health, housing and social security are key concerns in people's everyday lives. Yet, the international human rights that correspond to these concerns - the rights to an adequate standard of living, housing, food, social security, education and work - have the least bite in our domestic law." (Judith Robertson, Chair of the Commission).
With speakers and workshops from across community-led health and beyond, join CHEX network members for this engaging and participative conference.
