This introductory open course will help develop your understanding of the principles, practice and policy connections of community development in Scotland today.
Delivered by our experienced team of trainers, you'll explore how community development is a key part of Scotland's public policy landscape, underpinned by the fundamental principles of participation, equality and social justice.
In this course, you will gain an understanding of community development principles, the policy context in Scotland, and the key components of community development practice.
You’ll also explore the practical application of community development approaches in your own work context and further learning opportunities to support practice in related work areas.
Delivered online, our training is always engaging and participative, allowing time for discussion and reflection – no ‘death by Powerpoint’. We bring more than 30 years of community development knowledge and experience, ensuring we offer an authoritative and values-led training experience.
This training costs a nominal £20 per participant, with limited places available.
