Event: Peer learning & support for community organisations
/This article was featured in the SCDC Weekly - 13th November 2024.
This event will bring together people working in community organisations, who are facing the pressures of delivering their vital work in the current challenging environment, for peer learning and support.
With a focus on community-led health, the CHEX ideas clinic will offer an informal, online space where people can come together to get into the nuts and bolts of their work – it’s somewhere to discuss and explore experiences and talk about new ideas and tricky problems.
By joining the event you'll will be able to use your knowledge to help others, receive support and advice, and most importantly, make connections with like-minded people.
The session will start with brief presentations from three folks in the CHEX network who have a community-led health idea or issue to share. Attendees then choose which topic is most interesting or relevant to them and join that breakout room for the main part of the event - engaging and participative discussion and learning.
This format is designed to create a space for people to openly chat through challenging and nuanced thoughts and ideas with peers, so the session will not be recorded.
The CHEX team will share any useful resources and links with the attendees afterwards and everyone is free to swap contact details with other attendees if a useful connection is made.
Sign up today: CHEX Ideas Clinic, 10am - 12pm on 5th December.
