Ensuring everyone in our communities can cast their vote tomorrow

This article was featured in the SCDC Weekly - 3rd July 2024.

In this final Weekly before the election, we're again highlighting the new voter ID requirements in place for tomorrow’s vote.

With this year’s General Election set to be the most unequal for more than six decades, community organisations can play an important role on polling day by encouraging the people to vote, and reminding them to bring voter ID when they do.

To create a fairer, more just society it’s vital that people in all communities can take part in our democracy, use their voice, and ensure their priorities are represented.

There's a list of accepted photo ID here and there’s resources for community organisations here.
